WHEELS AND WAVES 2016 - IT JUST GETS BETTER AND BETTER!

"Wheels and Waves - c'est formidable!"

The 2016 edition of Wheels and Waves once again blew away the French Atlantic seaside town of Biarritz! Now in its fifth edition, Wheels and Waves has become the No.1 destination for lovers of custom and heritage bikes and the lifestyle that goes with it.

From car and motorbikes to surf and attitude, Wheels and Waves 2016 had it all!

Roland Sands, Faster Sons, Royal Enfield and a very special Dakar-inspired BMW: the unveiling of awesome new bikes is what set Wheels and Waves apart this year.

OSCAR by Alpinestars was, naturally, right at home at Wheels and Waves! Like last year, our tent was a huge pull, with a coffee lounge and tons of activities, such as leather tattooing and a travelling Polaroid photo booth.

Festival goers were amazed with the OSCAR by Alpinestars coffee lounge and the impressive machine
We also had tattoo artists on hand to customize special Wheels and Waves leather patches!
During the festival people brought their bike to the tent for a photo opp!
Some, like Pure Motorcycle's David Chapuis, brought flair ...
... while some just came with kick-ass attitude!
OSCAR by Alpinestars was again rocking it at the ArtRide exhibition.
The ArtRide exhibition, this year held in San Sebastian, housed some awesome machines.
One of the headlines at Wheels and Waves this year was the 'El Rollo' flat track event.
Alpinestars Super Victory boot was a star attraction at El Rollo ...
... and, so it seems, was our very own Jamie Robinson!
It might have been cancelled but that didn't stop Jamie showing off at Punk's Peak a few days later.
Fog and rain did it for Punk's Peak this year but at least the bikes were all in working order ....

... well some of them!

For this year's edition, OSCAR by Alpinestars reached out to The Impossible Project (for those who do not know, Impossible bought over Polaroid in 2008 and have kept the instant photo dream alive ever since). We took our Polaroid cameras all over Biarritz and San Sebastian, capturing the real essence of Wheels and Waves.

See for yourself!

Some of the many people and bikes that made this year's Wheels and Waves special. Perhaps your photo is here?
Next time you see a flash it might just be us capturing your bike! See you next year!
